Program Objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:

  1. Review clinical care guidelines to effectively manage the ketogenic diet therapy for the pediatric patient.
  2. Learn strategies to translate Modified Atkins Diet principles into practice including how to make the diet fun and palatable for your patients.
  3. Discuss alternative protocols to provide the traditional ketogenic diet – the “low and slow” method.
  4. Discuss ketogenic diet initiation and management for refractory status epilepticus.

Target Audience

This program is intended for pediatric registered dietitians and clinicians who specialize in the Ketogenic diet. Registered dietitians working in other areas of practice, other clinicians (RN, NP, PT, MD), and students are welcome to attend.
